Korea’s Olympic Values Education Programme (K-OVEP) marks its 10th anniversary this year, celebrating a decade of inspiring Korean youth with the values of Olympism.
Operated exclusively by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO), which has kept alive the spirit of the 1988 Seoul Olympic legacy, K-OVEP reaches more than 600 children and youth annually—from schools to sports clubs and even youth detention centers.
Last year, KSPO translated the IOC OVEP Toolkit 3.0 into Korean and distributed it through a nationwide teacher network, helping expand its reach and classroom impact. K-OVEP continues to shine as a living example of Korea’s intangible Olympic legacy — a true embodiment of ‘Thank You 1988 Seoul,’ the slogan that keeps the spirit of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games alive.
