Michael Loynd

Michael Loynd proudly represents St. Louis—America’s First Olympic City and the Birthplace of the Olympic Gold Medal. A successful attorney and businessman, he serves on numerous corporate and civic boards, including Chairman of the St. Louis Sports Commission. He is the author of several award-winning and best-selling books, including The Watermen: The Birth of American Swimming and One Young Man’s Fight to Capture Olympic Gold (Penguin Random House) and a contributing writer to publications like The Wall Street Journal. A lifetime member of the International Society of Olympic Historians, Mr. Loynd loves the Games’ unique ability to bring the world together and inspire us all to be our best selves.
