As the host of the next Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, the City of Paris aims to leave no young person behind. In this regard, and as part of its legacy program, an initiative called “Education through sport” was launched in 2021.

The City of Paris believes that sport can be an impactful lever for integration and success for those who have dropped out of school. Their programme financially supports three local platforms (PEP75, AREP, and Centre Patay) that work with middle school students showing signs of fragility or family or school difficulties. Once selected, the children are hostedfor a week and benefit from sporting activities. Self-confidence, managing emotions, and respect for others: these aspects are all part of the process that helps beneficiaries integrate strong educational values. Previous editions have shown exciting results in improving behaviour and motivation for learning. A fourth one is on the way!  To learn more about the initiative, click here and here.
