As the world celebrated Olympic Day on 23 June, discover below a selection of activations that demonstrate the power of Olympic Day to both get people into sport and keep the flame alive, through multistakeholder meaningful projects involving NOCs, cities, legacy entities, OCGs and local associations, and as part of the Let’s Move campaign! JAPAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE Never Stop Playing Sports (NSPS), in collaboration with the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), implemented “Move Together 1252 – Olympic Day Community Project” in conjunction with Olympic Day on June 23, 2026. Move Together 1252 Workshop is a community-driven initiative organised in collaboration with the Japan Olympic Committee (JOC) by Never Stop Playing Sports.  It is designed to foster a healthy, active lifestyle through simple, inclusive group exercises and community building and has recceived an Ignite365 Award, the first initiative of the Olympism365 Innovation Hub.

St. LOUIS On Friday 27 June, the St. Louis Sports Commission brought together local youth and families at WashU’s Francis Olympic Field to celebrate Olympic Day and the city’s historic legacy as host of the 1904 Summer Games. Attendees ran the historic Olympic Stadium track alongside legendary athlete Jackie Joyner-Kersee, took part in free family-friendly activities, and joined a Q&A session — all as part of the worldwide celebration of Olympic Day. UTAH OLYMPIC LEGACY FOUNDATION On Saturday 27 June, Utah Olympic Park welcomed young visitors for a free Olympic and Paralympic Day packed with hands-on activities — from laser biathlon and push track to inflatable curling and Action Tower. Young guests received an event passport to collect stamps across all activities, earning free entry to the evening’s highlight: the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Pool Show.
