As a prelude to the third edition of the Dakar en Jeux festival, the City of Dakar and the department of Seine-Saint Denis initiated the project “Cross exchanges Dakar – Seine-Saint-Denis: urban sports and Olympics”.

The Maison des Cultures Urbaines de Dakar welcomes a team of trainers from the Africolor festival for training sessions in sound, lighting and production management for the benefit of 60 young Dakar residents. This capacity building program is part of the legacy of the Olympic Games providing a qualified workforce to deliver the Games and to support the Senegalese cultural and creative ecosystem. Training courses are scheduled from 28 October to 10 November and will take place at the Maison des Cultures Urbaines in Dakar and the restitutions are planned at the sites of the Dakar en Jeu festival (Place de la Nation, Esplanade Mairie Diamniadio and Obama Beach in Saly). This joint project is supported of the city of Dakar, the Department of Seine Saint Denis, the Senegalese ministry in charge of town planning and territorial development of local authorities, and the French ministry in charge of Europe and foreign affairs.
