The 20 March 2006 Foundation was established on 20 September 2006 by the Piedmont Region, the City of Torino, the Province of Torino now Metropolitan City and CONI at the end of the XX Torino 2006 Winter Olympics and the related IX Paralympic Winter Games.
Its mission is to collect and enhance their legacy; a legacy that is both tangible: modern sports facilities, multifunctional arenas, welcoming accommodation facilities, and intangible: exceptional know-how for the organization of sports and major events, the image of Torino and the Olympic Mountains. The 20 March 2006 Foundation (the date indicates the day after the end of the Paralympics) is also known by the acronym Torino Olympic Park – TOP. As a public entity, the Foundation owns 10% of the Parcolimpico Torino.
