In recognition of the resilience that drives the Olympic and Paralympic Games, LA28 launched the LA28 Resilience Champions Fund, a grantmaking initiative designed to invest in a more resilient Los Angeles.

The fund focuses on wildfire resilience and nature restoration, ocean protection, and cooling solutions.Grants will support locally led projects that address community needs and will be implemented before the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Applications for Round One have just closed, with winners to be announced in the spring. The fund is administered by Community Partners and guided by a local advisory group. This initiative aligns with LA28’s Impact and Sustainability Plan, which emphasises environmental health, economic empowerment, youth sports, local business participation, and sustainable Games infrastructure.
