This year, the Olympic City of Nanjing celebrated the 10th anniversary of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. Nanjing’s lively legacy includes the Sunshine Sports programme for schools and the development of sport event hosting.

Retrospectively, these Games have proven to be, like other YOG editions, both a laboratory for future Games and a launching pad for young athletes and new sports! On 5 September 2024 China (Nanjing) Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair Sports Cities Session and Nanjing YOG 10th Anniversary Celebratory Activities opened in Nanjing with, as a common thread, the following theme: “Inherit YOG Legacy, Ignite Youth Power”! To read the summary of the celebrations, click here, and to see more pictures, click here!
