The Olympic Games are not only about sport! Hosting such an event creates incentives for Cities to modernise, adapt and be more liveable for all. Tokyo 2020 boosted the design and implementation of barrier-free facilities.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has compiled all barrier-free facilities initiatives that were developed on the occasion of the Games and which will remain as a meaningful legacy. Locals and visitors with disabilities as well as able people can enjoy improvements to railways, roads, trains, taxis, accommodation, museums schools and parks.
